Boho Style Crochet Vest Top
Hi everyone,
Wow what a warm few weeks we have had here in England ....... its been lovely having wall to wall sunshine every day and my garden is positively blooming.......
My roses have never looked so good rambling around my picket fence......
I have lots of compliments from the neighbours asking me what my secret was....... and I could only answer honestly and say "I have no idea" ........ as I am not green fingered at all!
However this lovely weather has not been good for my crochet designing at all as its been far to warm to pick up a crochet hook!!! I did only manage to create one item in a whole week ....... totally let the side down there! My new Boho Style Crochet Vest Top which I am quite pleased with.
I used Drops Cotton Merino DK for this design..... I have never used this yarn before but I was loving it as its so soft and glides over the hook like a dream. I chose two colours to see how it would turn out and after some initial doubts ...... always doubting Thomas me!!!! ..... its the perfectionist in me and it really does slow down anything I do as if I am not sure I tend to faff about for ages until I am sure!!!! Drives my husband mad at times!!!!
Any way I carried on and here is the finished result.....
I used the solid granny square in the end with join showing on the outside for added texture and then added a tassel edging and adjustable tie straps. The size is for a toddler (2 years old) and it fit perfect and was road tested by our little model Belle ......
she looked so adorable don't you think........ so now its been road tested I can now make it into a PDF pattern for you to download and make it yourself. I will let you guys know as soon as its ready.
If you want to join me on my YouTube Channel you can find me here .....
Well I'm off to dead head the roses!!!!!
If you would like to me do a tutorial just let me know in the comments box..... but until next time take care and happy crochet.
Jayne
XOXO
