My Craft Room Reorganisation

Hi everyone,

Well we are almost at the end of April and the days are getting longer, with sunshine streaming through my craft room window giving me more daylight hours to crochet and sew.  I've also been spending time in my garden giving it a tidy up after the long winter months.

I have recently decided to add my love for sewing and knitting onto my YouTube Channel along with my crochet and with this in mind I have updated my channel name to Loopy Mabel Vintage Style.  I know lots of my lovely subscribers have asked if I can add tutorials and VLOG's to include sewing and knitting to run alongside my crochet designs and tutorials and I am super excited to do this.

I have also made a pledge to myself that this year I will make all my own clothes (where possible) and have a memade year.  I am so looking forward to seeing what my wardrobe is going to look like by the end of the year!  I may look like a flowery mismatch but how fun is it going to be!!! My husband is not convinced but he is happy to see me happy and thats all that counts! I already made a self drafted tunic using some french chambray linen ..... as a first attempt .... it's been a while since I sat at my sewing machine ..... I am really pleased with it and have worn it several times already so I think it will be a staple part of my wardrobe.

I've added a crochet ruffle brooch ....there is a full tutorial here if you want to make one too!

So with this in mind I decided to revamp and rearrange my craft room so I could use it to the full potential ...... so what was going to only take a few hours ...... turned into 3 days ..... but it was well worth the blood sweat and tears ... ( well there was no blood or tears but you get the jist) .... and I have to say it looks amazing.

I found things that I thought were lost long ago .... oh how my heart sang when I found my extension table for my sewing machine and my magnetic pin holder (I am so easily pleased with these simple pleasures)

and I now seem to have much more space than ever before!  There is even enough room for my 4 cats and their beds too ..... I find it much easier to allow them free range into my room than keep them out as their curiosity soon fades and they get bored and they end up wandering off to leave me in peace!

I have added a video on my channel showing a behind the scenes tour if you would like to take a peak!

Thanks for joining me today and hope to see you again soon!

Take care

Jayne
